1975 Fender Stratocaster Natural Ash Maple

Up for sale, a really cool vintage 1975 Fender Stratocaster in Natural finish with Maple neck. This is definitely a players grade mid ’70s Strat that features 8.0 Lbs (which means very lightweight for the era) with a very resonant Ash body in natural finish. All Maple neck, with the typical big ’70s headstock and “F” tuners. 656XXX Serial number, meanwhile the neck stamp shows it was made in ’74, pickups and pots, as well as the body shows ’75. Both Neck and body have original finish. All electronics are original, however the neck pickup has been rewound. The tremolo arm is missing, however it works just fine.

The body at some point was re-routed for another pickguard with HSH configuration (pretty decent job) and it’s been reversed (re-wired) to its original pickguard with the original pickups and pots. You can only see this obviously only when removing the pickguard. Everything else seems to be all original including its black tolex hard case that is in very good condition with all latches working.

Aesthetically, there is a lot of play wear, marks, little dings, edge wear and lots of the common lacquer finish cracks over the body. By the neck pocket there’s what appears to be a superficial crack in the wood that it’s evident that it hasn’t got to the screw hole at all. No distress in the wood, nothing that affects the integrity nor playability at all.

3 bolt neck plate with the F logo (with its tilt adjustment) is a standard on these years and the bullet truss rod on the headstock works as it should. Frets are original and have decent wear however still playable, however if you happen to be very meticulous with this a re-fret would be welcome, however again not mandatory. The neck is straight. It has been set with a fresh set of D’addario Nickel 09 – 42 and it plays pretty well.
